Secluded on the stunning shores of the Atlantic Ocean and nestled at the foot of the majestic Mount Teide, the Gran Meliá Palacio de Isora promises a magical escape in the heart of Tenerife. This five-star resort, is a harmonious blend of natural beauty and luxury, and it boasts the longest infinity pool in all of Europe. Intrigued? Let’s dive into our first-hand experience.

A grand entrance.

Gran Meliá Palacio de Isora

As we approached the Gran Meliá Palacio de Isora, the grandeur of the property was immediately evident. The website does not exaggerate when it mentions the “palace” in its name. The architecture is reminiscent of a Spanish colonial palace, with elegant archways, lush gardens, and palm trees welcoming guests to this oasis.

Luxurious accommodations.

Gran Meliá Palacio de Isora offers an array of accommodations, we opted for one of their Deluxe Ocean View Rooms, which are a captivating blend of comfort and breath-taking vistas. These thoughtfully designed accommodations offer a spacious retreat adorned with elegant decor and modern amenities.

Relax in your large, plush bed after a day of exploration, or pamper yourself in the luxurious bathroom, featuring both a rainfall shower and a deep soaking bathtub. The convenience of a double sink adds to the comfort and efficiency of your stay.

From your private balcony or terrace, you’ll be treated to uninterrupted views of the Atlantic Ocean, creating a serene and romantic atmosphere. Whether you’re sipping morning coffee while watching the sunrise or unwinding with a glass of wine at sunset, these rooms provide the perfect backdrop for an unforgettable stay.

Infinity pool bliss and beyond.

The website proudly claims the longest infinity pool in Europe, and I can confirm that it lives up to the hype. Stretching over 1,300 feet, this crystal-clear, salt water pool offers uninterrupted views of the Atlantic Ocean. It’s the perfect spot to bask in the sun, sip a cocktail, and feel like you’re floating on the edge of the world. The pool area is meticulously maintained, and the cabanas provide a private sanctuary for relaxation.

In addition to the impressive infinity pool, there are another 6 pools which include, a family pool, a children’s pool with a pirate ship, a baby pool, a relaxing indoor pool with spa, and two pools reserved for adults only (one for Red Level guests). This range of options ensures that every guest finds their perfect poolside retreat. The resort’s flexibility in catering to diverse needs is truly commendable.

Red Level.

For those seeking an elevated level of luxury, the Gran Meliá Palacio de Isora offers the exclusive Red Level experience. As a Red Level guest, you’ll enjoy a world of privileges, including private check-in, access to the Red Level Lounge, and a dedicated concierge to cater to your every need. The Red Level suites themselves are a testament to opulence, providing spacious, elegantly designed accommodations with private terraces and stunning ocean views. It’s the epitome of personalized luxury within this already lavish resort.

Gastronomic delights.

The resort’s dining options are a culinary journey in themselves. The website mentions “an array of restaurants,” but the reality is even more impressive. From the exquisite Mexican cuisine at “Agave” to the vibrant Mediterranean flavours of “Pangea,” every meal was a delight for the senses. The resort has 6 restaurants plus an additional 2 for Red Level Guests.

We chose the all-inclusive package, which encompassed a delightful plethora of culinary delights and beverages. It was undeniably one of the most exceptional all-inclusive experiences we’ve ever encountered, thanks to its outstanding variety of dining options. What truly set it apart was the inclusion of à la carte lunch and dinner selections, a refreshing departure from the monotonous buffet offerings typically found in other hotels.

Wellness and relaxation.

Gran Meliá Palacio de Isora is also a haven for relaxation and rejuvenation. The Clarins Spa, is a sanctuary of tranquillity offering a range of treatments and therapies. The thermal circuit is a must-try, and the indoor heated pool is the perfect place to get away and unwind.

Activities galore.

The resort offers a wide range of activities for everyone to enjoy. You can dive into water sports, find your zen with yoga, break a sweat in their well-equipped gym, and so much more! During our stay, we tried a few of the activity options, and stand-up paddleboarding quickly became our top pick. The activity team was awesome and made it even more fun.

Impeccable service.
